Sometimes it’s challenging as an artist to portray subjects that you know well. I put {more} pressure on myself to not just to try and take beautiful images, but to really bring out the personalities that I know. This session was no exception, but I was thrilled when I got my film shipment back from Millers, and {finally} had a chance to look through the digital images. This session was shot on the Canon EOS A2e {film}, 1D IV, 5DII, and Contax 645.
Sarah has been an employee of ours for almost three years now, starting out as an assistant to me for Memorial’s Inspire magazine back in May of 2009. Since then she has worked, learned, trained, and is now a fantastic primary photographer with Motion Picture Co. During that time she’s become like a little sister to both Lindsey and me. We have enjoyed seeing Sarah and Luke’s relationship, as he went from “college boyfriend” to fiancé. It’s refreshing to see two “young people” (does that make me sound old?) who are seeming to make the right decisions in life, and pursuing the dreams that have been etched upon their hearts.
We’re very excited about next May’s wedding! Congratulations, you two!
~John
