I already showed a sneak peek of the film images shot at Perry + Katie’s recent wedding, and I’m excited to finally be getting a chance to share all of the photographs!
Their story — which I alluded to in the last post — is rather inspiring. They met in Peru, on Katie’s first day there in the Peace Corps, where Perry happened to be training the volunteers. Since then, their work serving those in great need in developing countries has taken them around the globe. They are headed for London for the next chapter of their lives, taking with them Otis the cat (yes, he made the blog post, too!).
As many travelers know, the world is a smaller place one would think. Katie even met my brother Joseph a couple of years ago, when both of them were working in Managua, Nicaragua. Lindsey and I are hoping to head down to Nicaragua with our church sometime this year, and we’re also interested in the work that Katie and so many others do through the Manna Project.
We had a great time photographing, (well, mostly laughing…) and I really enjoyed getting to know this couple. Their intimate wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful backyard of Perry’s family, and guests enjoyed a laid-back cocktail hour before heading down Lookout Mountain to Chattanooga’s wonderful Alleia restaurant. Thanks also to our friends at Grafe Studios, who did a phenomenal job with the floral arrangement.
Here are some of my favorite images, be sure to register on Pictage to be notified when all of the images are ready!
