We had an incredible time celebrating the wedding of Justin + Heidi. Here’s a bit about them, in their own words! Congratulations to a lovely couple; we were blessed to spend the day with you guys! You can see all of their images in their gallery here.
How did you meet?
There are two sides to every story, and this one is no different! The most concise and un-biased version is that he came into work one day to pay his bill… and then came in the next month, and the next, and then next… even after I showed him the self service option. 😉 We ran into each other multiple times over the next few months…deliberately, of course! A few emails later and the rest is history!
What was your first date?
Dinner over dark beer and chocolate cake and karaoke!
Was it love at first sight?
Absolutely, yes. It felt like time went into slow motion.
How did he propose?
In our living room, with our dog as a witness. I saw him holding the ring box behind his back through a reflection in one of the mirrors. I just started crying!
What are some of your favorite aspects of living in the South?
Heidi – “EVERYTHING. I love it all. Monograms, sweet tea, the fall colors, the absurd loyalty to college football. I’m completely infatuated with it all. I love the culture. Everything seems BIG and FLASHY, but not in an in-your-face NYC sort of way. It truly is a state of mind. People are comfortable here with what and who they love. The best part is they want to share it with others.”
What are some of your favorite qualities about one another?
Thanks to all of the vendors who made this possible!
Black Fox Farms > ceremony + reception site
The Boutique Couture > wedding gown
MoMo’s BBQ > catering
Wired Coffee > on-site coffee bar
