I hear it all the time. “I’ll bet you guys have all sorts of pictures up at your house…” and “you must have a thousand pictures of Jack.” Well, we have tens of thousands of pictures in our house and studio, and thousands of pictures of Jack. Guess what? They’re almost all on hard drives or DVD’s or Blu-Ray. Unfortunately not many are printed.
I’ve posted a bit about this, but I’ll talk about it some more: I’ve been getting back into shooting some film this summer, and although this might seem archaic to some in this millennium, it’s actually quite refreshing! They came ‘developed’ from the famed Richard Photo Lab in Los Angeles. When I say ‘developed’ I mean it…I put some rolls of 120 b+w film into a bag, put an address on it, and had negatives, digital files, and PRINTS! (yes, PRINTS!) well before I would have actually got around to developing the digital files myself!
Without further ado, and much thanks to Meggie for the use of the Contax 645, to Barbara Mauldin for letting me borrow Lanny’s beloved Rolleiflex, and to some lady in Romania for not ripping me off on eBay when I bought the Pentacon Six….here they are!
Also big shout-out to one of Jack’s BFF’s…cousin Jude (next to last photo). What an awesome kid…the two boys bonded a bunch while all of the family was together for Blake and Elizabeth‘s wedding!

p.s.: the reasons for the overwhelming # of pictures of my dog are that she…um…sits when I say “sit.” She stays, etc… She’s quite photogenic…and I don’t feel like a bad parent when I bribe her with treats to sit as I test out cameras! 🙂
MeggieLOVE the look of the color film. More importantly, I GIANT HEART that chair that Molly is chillin on. It has such a great shape and fabric.
lauren rosenaui second everything that meggie said.
