So on our way to Rachel and Christopher’s wedding, we were able to fly into Boston. It’s been amazing to hang out with my brother J.R. He and a friend from Vanderbilt just found a new apartment in Beacon HIll, and this was the amazing view that we enjoyed last night.
He and his friend Al took us to the Red Sox game. There’s nothing like enjoying a Fenway Frank and hearing the fans boo Manny Ramirez. Apparently not long after Tuesdays’ game, he got the boot, and was sent to the Dodgers. Too bad we left before the 8th inning rendition of Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline.’
Yesterday, we went for a jaunt on some bikes we borrowed from J.R.’s generous friends. Lindsey and I have much more respect for bikers now, as it’s a bit harrowing to be such a tiny presence amidst cars and trucks. Here’s a shot of us after arriving safely at the MIT dome, where J.R. just received his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. It’s been interesting to see Boston and MIT, as we recently saw the movie 21, which is partly set in Boston
