Ever since visiting Monteluce Winery in Dahlonega, GA with our family a couple of years ago, we couldn’t help but think that it would make an amazing location for a wedding. We were so thrilled when Maggie called us about photographing her wedding there! We enjoyed getting to know Stephen and Maggie more through their engagement session in Atlanta. They proved to be just as photographic as the amazing venue!
It was an absolutely perfect day. John and I enjoyed working with Lisa from Event Perfect from Atlanta, as she and her team made the wedding day flow smoothly along. After a very moving ceremony performed by Stephen’s father, and some extra special vows from the book of Ruth, we returned to the winery for a celebration.
Peace and Love band from Charleston, SC came and wowed us with their tight harmonies and great covers of an incredible variety of music. The friendly staff and talented kitchen of Monteluce really outdid themselves with some amazing fare, as well as their own wine. I cannot attest to the quality of that this time (see how straight the pictures are?)!
Every wedding has its own personality and details, and something truly special and unique was a trio of cakes! The bride and groom surprised their parents with replicas of each of their own wedding cakes, accompanied by a photograph. It was amazing to see the reactions to vintage suits and hairstyles, and see the various cake styles.
The bride and groom exited to some jumbo sparklers, and thanks to Jenny helping us with the sparkler art in the last photo!
Stephen and Maggie, thank you for choosing John and I to be a part of your wedding day. Enjoy your photos!
