We had a whirlwind of a trip to Washington, D.C. a few weeks ago to meet up with Rachel and Christopher. Rachel was a bridesmaid about a year ago in Virginia & Camp’s wedding. When she later got engaged, she asked us to photograph her wedding. John and I wanted to get some engagement shots where they live and work, since their wedding will take place in Kennebunkport, ME.
With all of our crazy schedules, we were only able to work out a night shoot, which proved to tricky but also a lot of fun. First we went to Gravelly Point Park near the Airport. The planes land so low, that it feels like they are actually going to land ON YOU. Then, we traveled to the Jefferson Memorial as well as the World War II Memorial. D.C. was even more beautiful than I had remembered.
Rachel and Christopher, you were so gracious to welcome John and I into your D.C. world! We are so excited about your wedding.
