I enjoyed getting to know Kathleen + Austin as we photographed recently. Not only are they incredibly nice, we reminisced about France, where all of us have had the opportunity to study. It’s interesting to realize that there are other people out there with similar (or even parallel) experiences! Without further ado…here they are, in their own words!
Where did you meet your fiancé?
We both went on theMcCallie/GPS trip to France in the summer of 2006. We first spoke to each other at Monet’s house towards the beginning of the trip but didn’t start dating until our senior year of high school in 2007. We became friends on the trip and had an awesome time together.
Was it love at first sight?
Austin: No, but I always thought she was cute. When Kathleen and I were first friends (years before we started dating), I was actually interested in one of her friends.
Kathleen: I remember seeing him for the first time in a classroom at GPS. I loved his big curly hair (it was longer then) and his prominent chin. I remember feeling like he was going to play a prominent role in my life.

Classic and elegant
What are two of your favorite qualities about each other?
Kathleen:
– He makes me laugh and is always having fun
– Smart and interesting, so we always have good conversation

– Hilarious as all get out sometimes when you least expect it
– She’s very thoughtful and supportive of me
