I recently had the opportunity to meet Courtney + Robert for their engagement session. When they showed up with a hand-made wooden canoe, I just knew it would be crazy-good! These two were a blast; plus the bride’s rock-star mother was on hand — who waded through the water to help guide the canoe at times — and kept me laughing throughout the shoot!
Here in the South, these two were “star-crossed” from the beginning, as rivalries in the SEC can be likened to the Montagues and Capulets. Robert comes from the “house of Neyland” and played football for the Tennessee Volunteers, while simultaneously on the same field as a beautiful baton twirler for the Georgia Bulldogs. Shakespeare himself couldn’t have written it better, as years later, these two finally met and began their own story together! Thankfully, this one’s a comedy, not a tragedy!
Lindsey and I can’t wait for the wedding this May in Georgia!
Here are just a few of my favorites! Be sure to head over to Pictage to see the rest of the images as well.
