Andrew + Erin | married

It was the hottest day of the year, at 108. I had been out of the hospital for just seven days after my appendix got its eviction notice, and was (thank-fully) med-free, and cleared to lift all of ten pounds. Thankfully, Lindsey’s brother (and my little brother!) Blake was on hand to help out with the heavy lifting, and make sure I didn’t wind up in the hospital again! Thanks to both of them for (literally) sweating it out with me!

I haven’t yet weighed the two camera bodies and lenses that I carried, but I will have to thank HoldFast for their “MoneyMaker” strap. This special camera strap allowed me to not have any cameras banging against my (sore) stomach, and was amazing for dual-wielding the Canons. It looks quite a bit more like what Clint Eastwood might wear in Dirty Harry than an actual camera strap… perfect for the big guns! cameras!

Erin + Andrew’s wedding was awesome…not just because they are fantastically nice people, (and quite photogenic) but also because they picked a couple of our favorite venues: First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and Lookout Mountain’s Fairlyland Club. Add some hilarious groomsmen, beautiful bridesmaids, and a piano-playing 2-year-old flower girl to the mix, and it’s just a good time all around! The whole team from Soirées was on board, and they had finessed a timeline that helped to deal with the heat of the day, by giving us time to cool off between different shots and groups, as well as taking care of countless other details throughout the day. I can’t wait to see the edit from Robert and Aston of Limestone Films, as they were on site for cinematography!

After the ceremony at First Cumberland Presbyterian, guests were welcomed to the Fairyland Club  to some amazing floral design by Humphrey’s, as well as some phenomenal music by Skyline Drive. Heck, even the sound man got up and sang a song or two; it was amazing!

Here are some of our favorites; be sure to pre-register on Pictage for a gift certificate, and to see all of the images when they are ready!
